The Beginning Colombo, Sri Lanka
From Idli Batter Packets to International School
I grew up in Colombo in a family that sold idli and dosa batter from home. 20 to 40 packets a day at 50 LKR each (less than half a dollar). People came to buy at all hours, including midnight. My mother was always grinding and packing. My father walked 2 km every day to buy supplies (with an untreatable spine condition) and stood front-of-house for customers. Every morning, my mother took us to early morning church mass. Every day I watched how much my parents suffered. This is my starting point.
Age 14 ~2008
"It's Impossible." Then I Proved Them Wrong.
My class teacher Miss Subshani called my parents and said, "Please do not waste his talents by leaving him here." My parents borrowed money for an interview at Oasis International School. I couldn't speak English. The principal gave me a Grade 3 English paper and I scored 30/100. She told my father, "with his current knowledge, you'd be wasting your money." My mother asked me one question: "You tell me - can you do it?" I said yes. I joined, never went out to play, no girlfriend, no TV - just studying and helping my parents sell at home. Within three months, I ranked 10th in class. The principal stood up, held her hands together, and apologized to my father.
Age 14-17 2009-2012
Youngest Student in the Class. Two Degrees at Once.
While finishing O-Levels and A-Levels at school, I enrolled in a part-time BTech in Computer Science at ESOFT Metro Campus, making me the youngest student there. Monday to Friday: school. Saturday and Sunday: bachelor's degree. I finished the degree in 2.5 years instead of 4, scoring 95% across all subjects.
First $15 ~2012
The Cheque That Changed Everything.
After being scammed by fake gurus and losing my family's entire LKR 55,000 savings ($300), I spent 6 months earning $15 uploading files to HotFile. The cheque arrived. A bank manager in Colombo told me it was fake. It was the first US bank cheque she'd ever seen in 25 years. After calling the head office, she apologized to my father. I almost cried in that bank. Not because of the money, but because of the look on my father's face.
First $1,000 ~2013
From $15 to Four Figures. Then Lost It All. Then Rebuilt.
I scaled the file-sharing model and became a super affiliate within six months, earning in a month what others made in a year. But DMCA crackdowns shut down the platforms overnight and I lost everything. I also sold graphic design work on Wjunction for $1-$5 per job. The first offline work I did was a First Holy Communion invitation card for LKR 1,000. My mother still has that currency note in her locker today. I rebuilt with Adsense, Clickbank, and Amazon sites, until Google Panda and Penguin wiped all of them. The one site that survived, I kept for sentimental reasons. Those losses forced me to learn proper white-hat authority site building. 100+ websites later, that became my competitive advantage.
2014-2016 London, UK
Master's with Distinction. Then I Came Home.
I enrolled at the University of Greenwich for an MSc in Computer Software Engineering. I got lost on the London Underground, cried alone in my room when the homesickness hit, ate cheap meals to save money. I passed IELTS with 9/10 without any formal training. Graduated with Distinction. My dissertation "Automated SEO Management System" was named one of the Most Interesting projects of the year. The UK offered work visas. I turned them down. My parents needed me back.
2016-2025 Colombo → Coimbatore

After quitting a 1-month job in digital marketing (I realized I was working for someone else's dream), I had a conversation with Deepashika Gunasekara (BCS Regional Manager) who suggested starting my own company in Sri Lanka. My brother Delon and I founded Maxinium, which stands for "Maximum Results in Minimum Time." We took on clients, then pivoted fully to own projects: Advice.lk (Sri Lanka's biggest advice platform), ZPlatform.ai (15,000+ member community), SEOTamil.com (#1 Tamil SEO site), Coimbatore Junction (100K+ readers), and more. I became the #1 Tamil SEO Expert in Google, Bing AI, and ChatGPT. I moved to Coimbatore, India and started building the next chapter.
2025 - Present Coimbatore, India

Joined Brainstorm Force (the team behind Astra, used by 7M+ sites) to lead AI marketing for ZipWP. 74% organic traffic growth. 9.38x ROAS. 2.02M-email campaign with 59.1% open rate. I engineer AI agents using Claude + Ahrefs MCP to automate what used to take days. And I still teach, still review tools, still reply to every comment.
